Bhubaneswar: In line with his vision to make Odisha a new manufacturing hub in the country, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate and lay foundation stone for 17 new industrial projects across 11 districts today.
These projects are worth investment of Rs 999.9 crore with potential employment for 2387 people in the State.
Despite industrial disruption and global economic slowdown due to Covid-19 pandemic, Odisha could garner more than Rs 12,000 crores worth of investments in the lockdown period due to the investor friendly policies and governance framework of the State Government.
After 12 phases of inauguration and ground-breaking of various industrial projects, the Chief Minister will dedicate major industrial projects across 11 districts today.
The districts include Bargarh, Balasore Khurdha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Mayurbharij, Jajpur, Ganjam and Gajapati “With implementation of our ‘5T’ framework, Odisha has become the Investment destination of choice for the investor community”, the CM had said earlier.
