CM to Visit Kalahandi, to Dedicate Upper Indravati Lift Canal System Today
Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will visit Kalahandi district today and address a public meeting, his first public meeting since outbreak of Covid-19 in last year.
Patnaik is also scheduled to dedicate different developmental projects to the people of Kalahandi, which includes Upper Indravati Lift Canal system built with the investment of Rs.986.71 crore.
The canal system will provide irrigation facility to 25,275 hectares of land benefitting more than 3 lakh people.
A whopping 43.26 km concrete canal has been built in the system while laiding 1142 km underground pipeline.
Latest technology has been used in the project which was completed in record time.
Meanwhile, 25 platoon police force have been deployed in Jaypatna for Chief Minister’s visit.
