Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has visited Apollo Hospital to inquired about the condition of Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Das, who is undergoing treatment following bullet injuries.
Health Secretary Shalini Pandit and 5T Secretary VK Pandian were also present at the hospital.
The Health Minister is in operation theatre of Apollo Hospital. A team of the best specialists in the State, drawn from Apollo Hospital, SCB MCH and Capital Hospital are attending to him.
The Minister was airlifted to Bhubaneswar from Jharsuguda with an accompanying medical team of specialists and life support equipment.
From Bhubaneswar airport, he was shifted immediately to Apollo Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
Naba Das was shot at in his chest today when he was on his way to attend a program at Gandhi Chowk in Brajrajnagar. He sustained bullet injuries on the chest and was admitted at the local hospital.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has ordered a CID probe into the incident.
