Bhubaneswar: Many districts of coastal Odisha will today experience rains and thundershowers. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued Orange Warning for nine districts. Thunderstorm with lightning, hail and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Jajpur, Angul, Dhenkanal Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Nayagarh, Khordha, and Puri.
Also, Heavy rainfall (7cm to 11cm) at one or two places is likely over the districts of Jajpur, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack. The Met Department has also issued Yellow warning for thirteen districts where thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places. The districts include Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Deogarh, Boudh, Kandhamal, Koraput, Rayagada, Malkangiri and thunderstorm with lightning very likely to occur at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha.
