Bhubaneswar: The Commonwealth Games 2022 Queen’s Baton has arrived in Bhubaneswar today. The ceremonial Baton was received and welcomed by Dilip Tirkey, Chairman, Odisha Hockey Promotion Council, along with officials from Department of Sports And Youth Services and Odisha Olympic Association.
Eminent sports personalities Anuradha Biswal nd Shradhanjali Samantaray were also present during the occasion. The relay baton will stay in the capital tonight and will be taken to Puri and Konark tomorrow before returning to Bhubaneswar for the symbolic relay at the Kalinga Stadium.
This is for the first time that Odisha will also host the Queen’s Baton Relay along with other cities such as Delhi, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru reinforcing the fact that Odisha has become one of the most favorite destinations of Sports and Games in the country.
