Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has lauded N Damburu Reddy from Ganjam district for donating plasma thrice after recovering from COVID-19.
43-year-old N Damburu Reddy, a social activist from Rangeilunda block, became the first person in the State to have donated plasma trice in one and half months after recovering from the virus.
The Chief Minister commended the noble deeds of Damburu and said that such acts of Good Samaritans helped save precious lives and strengthened Odisha’s fight against the pandemic.
“Commend N Damburu Reddy from Kotharasingi of Ganjam District for donating plasma multiple times after recovering from #COVID19. Such noble acts of many Good Samaritans helped save precious lives and strengthened #Odisha’s fight against the pandemic”, the Chief Minister’s Office tweeted.
As per reports, Damburu had first donated plasma at MKCG Medical College and Hospital on August 23, the second time on October 6 and for the third time on November 7.
He had tested positive for COVID-19 on July 17 and recovered from the virus after treatment.
