Covid-19 Dashboard: J&K Administration Thanks Odisha for Extending IT Expertise

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has done it again. This time for extending IT expertise to the Jammu and Kashmir Administration with the state-of-the-art Covid-19 Dashboard technology.

The Jammu and Kashmir Administration has lauded the Odisha Government for its timely help by providing the Dashboard technology that helped the State better manage the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a letter to Manoj Kumar Mishra, Secretary, Electronics & Information Technology Department, Government of Odisha, Simrandeep Singh, Secretary, Department of Information Technology, Government of Jammu And Kashmir has extend his heartfelt thanks and gratitude for the timely assistance in getting the COVID dashboard grounded in UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

In the letter, he has written that “Considering the impact of the pandemic in J&K, it was highly essential that a dynamic monitoring & evaluation based dashboard got implemented in J&K on the lines of the one implemented at Odisha. The implantation at Odisha is a benchmark in case reporting, prediction on likely number of cases, insights generation on infrastructure needed for patient care, and other trends &comparative analyses, all of which has led to effective monitoring of the COVID situation in the State of Odisha. Your prompt intervention and willingness in sharing the aforementioned application, associated knowledge and the required technical support for its implementation in J&K is highly appreciated.

“We would like to take this opportunity to once again convey our sincere thanks in this regard. We shall definitely look forward to several more interventions of mutual co-operation & co-learning with the Odisha Government in times to come,” he wrote.

Taking to twitter, Manoj Kumar Mishra has said that Odisha is committed to create world-class IT infrastructure and build right ecosystem to become a leader in technology space. Extending its expertise to J&K in setting up a Covid Dashboard has helped the UT in effective monitoring of the pandemic situation, he added.
