Bhubaneswar: COVID-19 testing facility would start at MKCG Medical College and Hospital; Berhampur from April 12 while the same will be available at VIMSAR in Burla from April 15 and at Ispat General Hospital (IGH), Rourkela from April 17, informed Health and Family Welfare Minister Naba Kishore Das on Thursday.
“COVID-19 tests will now be available in three more hospitals in Odisha. The facility will be rolled out at MKCG from April 12, VIMSAR from April 15 and IGH from April 17. We are planning to carry out at least 1000 tests per day now,” he said.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik earlier this month directed the officials to increase testing capacity to at least 1,000 per day.
