Bhubaneswar: As part of the special COVID enforcement drive, Odisha Police have taken action against 9032 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected a whopping Rs 27.40 lakh as fines from them in the last 24 hours.
“On last day of the special Covid enforcement drive, Odisha Police acted against 9032 violators of mask usage and social distancing rules and collected fine of Rs. 27, 40, 040/- in last 24 hours,” the State Police informed.
Cumulatively, in ten days, action has been taken against 101057 violators of Covid protocols in the State and penal fines amounting to Rs. 2, 98, 21, 990 have been collected, it added.
