Crime Branch Begins Probe to Alleged Minor Girl Gang-Rape in Bhubansewar

Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Crime Branch of Odisha Police has begun its probe into the alleged minor gang-rape case in Bhubaneswar.

A team from the Crime Branch on Wednesday went to the OTV office and collected information. Besides, the crime branch has reportedly issued notice to three employees including personal Assistant of OTV MD Jagi Mangat Panda.

Meanwhile, the Crime Branch sleuths have taken all the documents that the Commissionerate Police has investigated.

Notably, the minor’s mother had lodged a complaint at the Mahila Police Station on August 30 that her 13-year-old was gang raped by some employees of OTV and a policeman and had informed the incident to OTV MD Jagi Mangat Panda.

The OTV Managing Director had appeared before the Odisha State Commission for Woman (OSCW) in connection with the case on September 21.
