Bhubaneswar: Odisha Crime Branch will probe into the case of alleged assault on tribal women by Chitrakonda SDPO Anshuman Dwivedi in Malkangiri district, informed Minister of State (Home) Tusharkanti Behera to the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday.
The Minister said that the Crime Branch IG will take charge of the probe into the incident.
Earlier, the Opposition members created ruckus in the Assembly over the issue, leading to adjournments of the House.
As per reports, the SDPO had allegedly assaulted four tribal women during a raid in connection with ganja seizure in Chitrakonda area.
