CRS Inspects Nayagarh Town-Mahipur Rail Line

Nayagarh: Commissioner, Railway Safety (CRS), South Eastern Circle (Kolkata) Shri A. K. Rai inspected the newly laid 12 Kms long Broad Gauge Line from Nayagarh Town to Mahipur Railway Station of the on-going 289 Kms long Khurda Road-Balangir Rail line project, today.

Train services will be introduced between Nayagarh Town and Mahipur Stations suitably after it is declared fit for running of trains from CRS by thorough inspection of safety aspects of railway tracks and other safety related equipments.

ECoR has already completed and commissioned about 80Kms of Rail Line of the project from Khurda Road to Nayagarh Town and from Balangir to Bichhupalli. Now, 11.925Kms of Rail Line from Nayagarh Town to Mahipur has already been completed and waits for commissioning of traffic after clearance from CRS. Altogether, 92Kms of Rail line of Khurda Road-Balangir on-going Rail Line project has been completed.

East Coast Railway has APPEALED to the General Public of the nearby areas between Nayagarh Town and Mahipur that experimental runs of Trains will continue between the two stations even after CRS inspection and they must remain alert and stay away from track and also keep their cattle/other animals away from the vicinity of the track to prevent any untoward incident.
