Subarnapur: Odisha Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy and 5T Secretary VK Pandian today visited the exclusive 200-beded COVID hospital in Subarnapur district and reviewed various facilities available there.
The visit of the senior officials came just days after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik highly appreciated the efforts of Subarnapur Collector Monisha Banerjee in making the standalone COVID hospital functional in short time to further strengthen Odisha’s fight against the corona pandemic.
During their visit, the Chief Secretary and 5T Secretary reviewed the availability of medicines, ICU facility and isolation wards at the hospital, which is located in Government ITI, Subarnapur.
They also discussed with district Collector Monisha Banerjee about enforcement of lockdown for corona containment and arrangements made for the migrant workers stranded in the district from other states.
The senior officials also urged the district administration to facilitate the agricultural activities including movement of agricultural produce, speedy implementation of MGNREGA and taking care of the destitute and helpless people in view of extension of COVID-19 lockdown.
