Berhampur: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian and Special Secretary to CM R. Vineel Krishna today visited the Maa Taratarini Temple in Ganjam district.
They have reviewed the ongoing development works at the hilltop shrine and held discussions with the district administration officials and temple authorities.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai, BeMC Commissioner Dr. Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar, ADM Priyaranjan Prusty and other officials were present during the discussion.
The top officials also offered their prayers to Maa Taratarini, the presiding deity of Ganjam district.
The visit of Chief Secretary and 5T Secretary takes place just a day before Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s scheduled visit to the famous shrine.
The Chief Secretary and 5T Secretary also took stock of the steps taken for the smooth conduct of Pratishtha Mahotsav of the new temple of Maa Taratarini, which began on Sunday with great enthusiasm and religious fervor and will continue till May 20.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the Pratishtha Mahotsav of the new temple on Wednesday and offer his obeisance to the deity.
