Rourkela/Sambalpur: Odisha Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra and Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian will visit Rourkela and Sambalpur to review various development works today.
The top officials are expected to review works related to the setting up of a world class hockey stadium at Rourkela, which is set to host the International Hockey Federation (FIH) Men’s Hockey World Cup India 2023 along with the State capital Bhubaneswar.
The visit of Chief Secretary and 5T Secretary will take place days after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced to build the India’s biggest hockey stadium in Rourkela with a capacity of seating 20,000 spectators.
WODC Chairman Asit Tripathi, Works Secretary Dr. Krishan Kumar and Sports Director Vineel Krishna will also present on the occasion.
The officials will also be visiting Maa Samaleswari Temple in Sambalpur to review infrastructure development of the shrine.
