Cyclone Amphan to Landfall Over Sundarbans by Evening, Wind Speed to Clock upto 125 Kmph in Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak Districts
Bhubaneswar: Super Cyclone AMPHAN is moving North-North Eastwards with a speed of 14 Kmph during past 6 hours and is likely to cross West Bengal-Bangladesh coast between Digha and Hatiya close to Sundarbans during afternoon to evening today with wind speeds of 155-165 Kmph gusting to 185 Kmph.
While wind speed clocked 108 kmph at Paradip, Chandabali witnessed 67 kmph and wind gusted up to Bhubaneswar 46.5 kmph. Similarly, the wind speed clocked at 56.5 kmph at Balasore and Puri touched 87.0 kmph at 8.30 am today morning.
Coastal districts of Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall today as the Cyclone crosses.
