Bhubaneswar: In view of the cyclonic storm Jawad, The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre has issued an advisory for the Twin City of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The Regional Centre issued heavy to very heavy rainfall and gusty wind warnings for the Twin City.
Here are details:
For today( from 8.30 am of December 4-8.30 am of December 5), the Regional MeT Centre issued Orange Warning predicting that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely to occur some parts of the Twin City.
The weathermen also issued wind warning of 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph in the areas during the period.
Possible impact:
-Waterlogging in low-lying areas and closure of underpasses
-Occasional reduction in visibility during intense spells of rain
– Disruption of traffic due to water logging in roads leading to increased travel time.
– Breaking of tree branches
Day-2: Valid between 0830 Hrs IST of 05.12.21 to 0830 Hrs IST of 06.12.21
Forecast: Generally cloudy sky with a few spells of rain with one or two interse spells (2-3cm/Hr) of rain very likely to occur over Bhubaneswar & Cuttack city area.
