Bhubaneswar: As Gujarat is preparing to face cyclonic storm Vayu that is likely to make a landfall on the State’s coast on June 13, the Odisha Government has assured all possible supports to that State in combating the natural disaster.
Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi told here today that the State Government is ready to extend all sorts of help to Gujarat.
The Odisha Chief Secretary has also talked with his Gujarat counterpart Jagdip Narayan Singh and shared all sorts of experience that Odisha has already faced during FANI and Titli, media reports stated.
During their course of discussions , Padhi also shared about Odisha’s experience in shaping evacuation procedure.
In view of the Odisha’s successful handling of natural calamities through its world-class disaster management system, Gujarat has sought help of Odisha Government to face the possible landfall of Vayu.
Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Tuesday said that his State officials are in constant touch with the Odisha Government to learn and implement the disaster management techniques adopted during cyclone FANI that hit the eastern coastal state of Odisha on May 3 this year.
