Nabarangpur: Strengthening Odisha’s fight against coronavirus, Development Commissioner Suresh Mahapatra and Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian today reviewed the preparedness in Nabarangpur district to tackle the spread of the killer disease.
The senior officials, who reached here after reviewing COVID-19 situations in Koraput and Malkangiri districts, took stock of various steps taken by the Nabarangpur district administration in response to the corona pandemic.
As part of the review, the Development Commissioner and Secretary to CM (5T) visited the dedicated COVID-19 hospital and inspected various facilities available there.
They held detailed discussions with District Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra and other officials on a range of issues including implementation of lockdown restrictions, providing livelihood to the needy, restarting MGNREGA work and issues related to stranded workers and labourers.
They also urged the administration for strict adherence to social distancing norms in all activities.
