While the ongoing phase of vaccination is exclusively for the senior citizens, many are complaining that the registration process is cumbersome. Venting his displeasure, Jayant Mohapatra, President of Biju Patnaik Senior Citizen Forum has said that the government had said that all government medicals will provide vaccines but there is no facility at the MKCG or the City Hospital. Due to which many senior citizens are unable to take the vaccine.
Also, the four noted private hospitals in Berhampur were not giving the Vaccines. He also said that senior citizens are feeling it difficult to register in the Cowin application. There is no information in the application regarding Vaccination sites.
While there were only three government centers were giving vaccines till day before three more centers were also added yesterday taking the total number of government vaccine centers to six in the city.
