Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, Director General of Police (DGP) Dr RP Sharma has been appointed as as Lokayukta member.
Earlier, the selection committee headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had recommended Sharma’s name as a non-judicial member in the Lokayukta to the Governor for his approval.
With this, the number of members of the Justice Ajit Singh-headed Lokayukta has increased to four, including the Chairperson.
With this speculations about the new DGP has become thick.
