Cuttack: The conjoined twin girls from Odisha’s Dhenkanal district died at Sishu Bhawan in Cuttack today while undergoing treatment.
The twin girls were born on July 1 at Dhenkanal District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) to Renubala Behera of Khalpal village in Parjang block. They were conjoined at chest to stomach and weighed around 4.3 kg.
The newborns shared several vital organs and were also suffering from respiratory problems, reports said.
They were shifted to Cuttack where a seven-member doctors’ team was formed by the Sishu Bhawan for their treatment.
