Parlakhemundi: Further stepping up its efforts to contain the spread of second wave of coronavirus, the Gajapati district administration has set up different levels of COVID facilities for the treatment of COVID-19 positive cases.
Currently, there is one each COVID Hospital, Dedicated COVID Health Centre (DCHC) and COVID Care Centre with combined bed strength of 462 operating in the district. More facilities are in ready to operate condition which can be used as and when required, the district administration said.
The COVID-19 Pandemic has taken new dimensions in recent times with wide spreading of COVID-19 infection in the whole country. In pursuance to the instructions of the Odisha Government and considering the local requirements, different levels of COVID Facilities have been established in Gajapati District for the treatment of COVID-19 positive cases, said Gajapati Collector Anupam Saha.
24×7 Help Desks have been established in all these COVID Facilities with dedicated Help Line Numbers which are operating round the clock. The relatives of COVID-19 patients admitted into these COVID Facilities can contact these telephone numbers to know about health condition of the patient and related information. The patients admitted into the Hospital/ COVID Facility also can inform these Help desks for any emergency service, the district administration said in a statement.
Besides, the administration has also formed Rapid Response Team consisting one doctor and one pharmacist. The team is visiting with all essential medicines, equipments and ambulance. It conduct regular health check up and follow up to the positive cases through door to door visiting.
