Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government is giving utmost priority to set up a ‘Mo Seba Kendra’ in each Gram Panchayat office in the State to enable the people to connect with the government departments and avail hassle-free digital services under one roof.
Speaking at the orientation programme of newly-elected members of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), Electronics & Information Technology (E&IT) Department Secretary Manoj Kumar Mishra said that as per the order of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, ‘Mo Seba Kendra’ would be opened in all GPs in the State soon in order to ensure better service delivery to the people as part of the 5T initiatives of the Government.
Stating that broadband at the GP office through BharatNet has become a reality, the E&IT Secretary said that a multipurpose digital room with VC facility will be created in GP office, so that the people can be connected with government better. The digital room will also be used for training purposes and online classes for students.
Mobile connectivity is going to be substantially better by 2023 end as 480 towers in LWE area under implementation and also 3993 villages being taken up for new connectivity, he said.
He urged the PRI members to provide NOC to mobile tower operators without delay and create space in GP office for Mo Seba Kendra and Digital VC room.
