Dome of Future Attracts Young Generation to Connect With Their Mother Tongue At The World Odia Language Conference

Bhubaneswar: The first ever World Odia Language Conference being held at Bhubaneswar is attracting a large number of visitors from across the state and country. The three-day event was off to a spectacular beginning yesterday as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the Conference. Among others, one of the major attractions at the event is the Dome of Future – the gallery dedicated to the next Generation Digital AI infused Odisha Language space. Young generation, particularly school and college students and professionals from the Information Technology sphere are seen in a large number at the Gallery taking interest in the futuristic thematic digital depictions related to Odia language and culture.

Aptly according to the theme – Bhasa hin Bhabisyata, the Dome of Future at the World Odia Language Conference showcases Technology that is propelling popularization of Odia Language. The Dome of Future Gallery is attracting visitors with its AI interface, advanced Robots and futuristic initiatives of Odisha. It gives a glimpse of the history, present and future of Odia as a Classical Language.

At the Dome of Future, visitors will experience the future of Odia language in computer keyboards, state-of-the-art fonts, ARs/VR and robots, etc. The Dome of Future is a beautiful representation of how modern applications of Odia Language can be propagated using technology. This IT and Digital Gallery has become a special attraction for the young generation amidst the other exhibition galleries of the first World Odia Language Conference. The Dome of Future is the digital space and an integral part of the World Odia Language Conference that ensures the World Odia Language Conference becoming an unforgettable experience for all.

Speaking about the Dome of Future Gallery, Manoj Mishra, Principal Secretary, Electronics & Information Technology Department, Government of Odisha, says “The future of language is no more confined to pen and paper. Now the future is in Digital format, keyboard, mouse, computers, robots, AR and VR. We have prepared this futuristic gallery called as the Dome of the Future. We have displayed the standardized Odia Keyboard – Mahabahu with ten Odia fonts. There are many robots, AR and VR Headsets that are part of the 360 degree projection.”

While the first World Odia Language Conference will continue till tomorrow, the exhibition galleries are open for all visitors. All are requested to visit the Galleries and experience the most happening event in relation to Odia language and feel proud.
