Bhubaneswar: The second edition of DOT FEST 2023, the most exciting cultural event in Bhubaneswar is getting overwhelming response from the residents of the capital city.
From 67 wards of the city the residents were invited to come and share their feelings in city FEST.
With her warm welcome to the colony members there BMC Mayor Sulochana Das told, “We are facilitating communities as part of our development initiatives. It is time to enjoy with them”.
Pertinent to mention that BMC is quite sensitive to inclusive perspective in all respects. From planning to implementation and impact level it has been sharing its initiatives across the communities.
The government initiatives like MUKTA, Jaga Mission, community park developments, managing wealth centres are the bright examples.
A city can never be conceived without city makers and the real city makers are with us in the FEST, told BMC Commissioner Vijay Amruta Kulange.
He also interacted with the community members there to know how the FEST is pleasurable for them.
In forthcoming initiatives we have plan to make things community driven to have better results. In the FEST which was organized on the occasion of FIH World Cup Hockey 2023; communities of Bhubaneswar have demonstrated their tremendous hosting attitude to welcome the tourists and sports star to the temple city, told Commissioner.
“We are enjoying Bhubaneswar in the FEST, this is a better arrangement to derive pleasure and beyond my imagination” told Kuni (pseudonym) who represented from a Biju Adarsa colony with her husband and son.
Importance was given to get equitable representation from all wards. The communities joined were senior citizens, youth and children.

Corporators from different wards, Addl.commissioner Laxmikanta Sethi, ZDCcs namely Purandar Nanda, Priyabrata Padhi and Ravinarayan Jethi were present with the communities.
