Bhubaneswar: In a setback to the Odisha unit of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ahead of the crucial elections, former minister Raghunath Mohanty on Saturday quit the party.
Mohanty, the former five-time MLA from Basta in Balasore district, has tendered his resignation letter to State BJP president Manmohan Samal.
“I do hereby inform you that I and my family members tender our resignation from the Primary Membership of Bharatiya Janata Party with immediate effect,” the letter reads.
