Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today urged to embrace technology for the welfare of society.
Taking to Twitter on the occasion of World Telecommunication Day, Naveen has highlighted the significance of technology in ensuring critical healthcare and essential supplies during the COVID-19.
“Technology has shortened distances & transformed the way people communicate as well as emerged as a lifeline in ensuring critical healthcare & essential supplies during COVID-19”, the CM said.
“On World Telecommunication Day, pledge to continue embracing technology for the welfare of society”, he appealed.

World Telecommunication Day is celebrated annually on 17th May since 1969. On this day the International Telecommunication Union or ITU was founded and the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865, was signed.
