Bhubaneswar: Eminent Odia litterateur, Prof. Nityananda Satpathy has passed away here on Wednesday morning. He was 83.
He is survived by poet-wife Prativa Satpathy and four daughters-Paramita, Madhubrata, Asita and Ipsita.
He was born on October 25, 1937, at Garei Sasan village under Tirtol block in Jagatsinghpur district.
Boioks like “Hey Saathi, Hey Sarathi”, the Biography of Utkalmani Pandit Gopabandhu Das and “Ama Kabita” co-authored with his poet-wife Prativa are few of the work made him popular.
