Emulate Ganjam Model For Delivery of Services Through Rajaswa Ratha: Revenue Secretary To All Collectors

Bhubaneswar: The Government of Odisha has asked all the District Collectors of the state to emulate the Ganjam Model of dispensing various services of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department through Rajaswa Ratha.

In a letter written to the Collectors, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Bishnupada Sethy, has mentioned that the Tahasil Office, Ganiam, has started an innovative way of delivery of services through Rajaswa Ratha, which is meant for collecting applications and documents for mutation and certificate services and distribution of RoRs and various certificates at the doorstep of Citizens. This can be considered as a best practice for Good Governance. You are, therefore requested to emulate the best practice of delivery of services through Rajaswa Ratha in your district during the period of Covid-19 Pandemic.

In the letter, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Bishnupada Sethy also wrote that under the 5T Action Plan, Revenue and Disaster Management Department has undertaken many citizen-centric initiatives to deliver public services to citizens in a time-bound, transparent and hassle-free manner. Though the mutation and certificate services, delivered in Tahasil offices have been made completely online, still people having no Internet facility at home or lacking the digital literacy are visiting the Revenue Offices or Mo Seva Kendras for assistance. Due to sharp rise in Covid-19 cases in the state and as per prohibitory guidelines issued by Government of Odisha for safety of public and employees, public access to revenue offices has been curtailed. During these critical times, the Rajaswa Ratha model will definitely help people in need of the services.
