Bhubaneswar: NDA Presidential candidate and Odisha’s daughter Droupadi Murmu has been given a rousing welcome on her arrival here on Friday.
Murmu will meet Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs and MPs to seek their support for her election on July 18.
She will also meet BJD president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. She is scheduled to have lunch with the Chief Minister at the latter’s residence, according to reports.
The Chief Minister has already appealed to all legislators of Odisha to support Murmu in the Presidential election.
