The exceptionally talented Ishit Achary has been conferred with the India Book of Records for the extraordinary feat.
Ishita, a girl from Berhampur in Odisha’s Ganjam district, has written the Ramayana in 57 pages summarizing the sacred text in a lucid format.
She started writing the book in May after the watching the re–telecast of Ramanand Sagar’s epic TV serial the Ramayana during the COVID-19 lockdown. It took her 22 days to complete the task.
She has now become the youngest girl to write the holy book in such a short interval of time and has been awarded India Book of Records 2020.
Ishita, who has been staying with her parents in Chennai, has shown the good example of how the time can be better utilized in a productive way during lockdown.
