Nuapada: Odisha Vigilance nabbed Khariar BDO Narayan Sahoo for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The Vigilance sleuths have unearthed disproportionate to the tune of 106% to known sources of income from the BDO.
“BDO, Khariar, Nuapada has been arrested by Odisha Vigilance and forwarded to the Court in disproportionate assets case & has been remanded to jail custody. DA to the tune of 106% of known sources of income unearthed”, the Vigilance said while adding that investigation is continuing.
During the house searches, the Vigilance sleuths have unearthed movable and immovable assets in the name of BDO and his family members. The assets include one double-storeyed building over plot No.83 and Khata No.236 at the backside of Vatika Hotel, Bolangir town worth approx Rs.88 Lakh, land/plots in and around Bolangir, cash Rs.3.99 Lakh, Bank & Insurance deposits worth over Rs.13.49 lakh, gold jewellery is 764 Gms and silver ornaments are 720 Gms worth over Rs.36 Lakhs, 1 four-wheeler (Hyundai Creta) worth Rs.14.38 lakh and 2 two-wheelers, and household articles worth over Rs.7 Lakh.
