Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today congratulated the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) for the successful test firing of Hypersonic Technology Defence Vehicle (HSTDV) from Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha.
Hailing the achievement of the DRDO via a Twitter post, the Odisha CM said that the successful test firing of HSTDV will bolster country’s defence capability in air space.
“Congratulate @DRDO_India on the successful test firing of Hypersonic Technology Defence Vehicle (HSTDV) from Abdul Kalam Island in #Odisha. It bolsters India’s defence capability in air space”, Naveen twitted.
The HSTDV was test-fired from launch pad number 4 of at 11.22 am at Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday.
The HSTDVcan move upto an altitude of 32.5 km (20 miles) in 20 seconds, sources said.
