According to a letter issued by the OSD-cum-Secretary to the State Election Commission on July 6, the meeting will be held at 11:30 AM through the OSWAN video conferencing platform under the chairmanship of the State Election Commissioner.
The review meeting will primarily focus on the progress of the door-to-door (D2D) survey being conducted for the preparation of booth-wise electoral rolls for the 2027 PRI and ULB elections. The SEC has directed Additional District Magistrates (ULB Nodal Officers), Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), and other concerned officials to participate in the meeting from their respective district OSWAN centres.
The move marks the beginning of the Commission’s election preparedness exercise, with a focus on updating electoral rolls, reviewing financial compliance, and streamlining administrative arrangements well ahead of the 2027 local body elections.
