Bhubaneswar/Cuttack: Congress today declared its candidate for the post of Mayor for Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC).
Giribala Behera, the vice-president of Odisha Pradesh Mahila Congress, has been nominated as the Congress candidate for the top post of CMC.
The filing of nominations for the elections to urban local bodies (ULBs) in Odisha commences from today and will continue till March 7.
The scrutiny of nominations will be done on March 9. The polling will be held on March 24 with the counting of votes and declaration of results on March 26, the State Election Commission said.
