Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today directed the officials to ensure proper treatment to non-Covid patients in various hospitals across the State.
Chairing a high level review meeting to take stock of COVID-19 pandemic situation in the State, the CM stressed that non-corona patients should get proper treatment in various hospitals.
There should not be slightest negligence in their treatment, Naveen said.
The CM also urged to strengthen the ambulance network in the State.
The Chief Minister reiterated that Rs 50 lakh would be given to the next kin of the COVID-18 warriors who die in line of duty.
Naveen announced that the assistance would be given to the kin of the staff and representatives of the people (Sarpanch and other representatives) engaged in the COVID-19 war.
Similarly, the nearest relatives of Anganwadi and ASHA workers , who die during the COVID-19 duty, will receive Rs 7,500 and Rs 5,000 per month, respectively. The Chief Minister directed the administration to take immediate steps so that the families of the warriors could get assistance without delay in the event of such a tragedy.
“Our priority is to save the lives of patients,” he said.
“All our steps should be focused on this,” he said.
