Berhampur: The farmers in Gopalpur Assembly constituency in Ganjam district today donated blood at mega donation camp organized on Tuesday and expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his welfare programmes for the empowerment of farm community.
The blood donation camp, held at Randha village in Rangeilunda block as part of the Odisha-Mo Parivar’s Jeevan Bindu programme, has witnessed an overwhelming response from the farmers, who came forward voluntarily to donate blood.
The farmers expressed their deep gratitude to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the KALIA Yojana, which has played an instrumental role in enhancing the income of the farmers and development of agriculture sector.
They also thanked the Chief Minister for special COVID assistance package for the farmers at this pandemic time.
There was a lot of enthusiasm among the farmers at the donation camp. Over 140 units of blood had been collected.
“We feel immense happiness by donating blood. Our small donation can save someone’s life”, said the famers.
Youth BJD leader Ajit Roul has organized this unique donation camp.
Rangeilunda Block chairman CH. Usha Rani, Block Vice-Chairman and Block BJD President Ajit Dash, and other BJD leaders thanked the donors for their generosity in donating blood.
