Bhubaneswar: The ruling Biju Janata Dal is leading by 8382 votes by the end of fifth round of counting in the by-poll to the Padampur Assembly seat in Bargarh district.
In the fifth round, the BJD secured 4361 votes, BJP got 4157 votes and Congress 229 votes.
The BJD led the fifth round by 204 votes taking cumulative lead to 8382.
The by-poll was held on December 5 and had witnessed record voter turnout of 81.29 percent.
