Bhadrak: After the detection of five positive cases for COVID-19, the Bhadrak district administration today issued containment orders for five Gram Panchayats (GPs) in the district to prevent the spread of the killer virus.
As per the order, a total of 17 areas in three GPs in Basudevpur Block and 24 revenue villages in two GPs under Bhandaripokhari Block have been made containment zones for contact tracing, quarantine, testing and isolation, said the district administration.
As part of preventive measures, the restrictions have been imposed in five panchayats under Basudevpur and Bhandaripokhari blocks restricting from entering into and going out of the containment zones.
The distribution of food grains under PDS and other benefits provided by the government will remain suspended in five GPs under two blocks during containment period, said Bhadrak Collector Gyana Das.
Among five, three positive cases have been detected from Basudevpur block and two from Bhandaripokhari block, according to the Information & Public Relation Department.
