Bhubaneswar: The draw for the Pools of the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 have been out and India is placed in the Pool D along with England, Spain and Wales. The International Hockey Federation today conducted the Pool draw ceremony to determine the pools of the upcoming FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 Bhubaneswar – Rourkela. The Ceremony was held at the Convention Center, Lok Seva Bhawan in Bhubaneswar in the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Hosts India were placed with England in the Pool D along with Spain and Wales. Pool A consists of Australia, Argentina, France, South Africa. Defending champions Belgium are in Pool B with Germany, Korea and Japan. In Pool C Netherlands, New Zealand, Malaysia and Chile will fight it out.The FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup is scheduled to be held from 13th to 29th January 2023 in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.
