Bhubaneswar: Preparations are in full swing for the Panchayat elections in Odisha to be held early next year.
The final list of voters will be published by December 14, informed State Election Commissioner Aditya Prasad Padhi at a press meet here on Monday.
The citizens who have attained the age of 18 years by November 1, 2021 will be eligible to include their names in the voter list, the Election Commissioner said.
The voter lists will be revised in 29 districts except for Balasore district. The preliminary voter lists will be published in all gram panchayats on November 16.
Any corrections and grievances can be updated by November 23 by submitting at the Electoral Registrar’s Office, he added.
The decision will be taken by the relevant authorities between November 24 to 26. All those who wish to make any changes to the voter list will be able to apply at the Block Development Office between November 29-30.
Following this, the BDO will look into the submitted complaints between December 1 -2 and the voter list will be published on December 4. Thereafter on December 6, the final voter list will be submitted to the Election Commission.
By December 14, the voter list will approach to the State Election Commission.
Earlier, the State Election Commission held an all-party meeting and discussed various proposals for the peaceful conduct of the elections.
