Berhampur: More than 1200 students will take part in the first ever placement week at ITI Berhampur.
The placement week was inaugurated by SDET Principal Secretary Hemant Sharma on Wednesday.
Over 20 companies including Tata, TVs, Suzuki, Piaggo, Lava and Hero will be participating in the placement drive and recruit around 1000 students.
On the first day, as many as 466 candidates have got placement.
The students, who will be graduated in coming December, will take part in the placement week.
DTET Director Reghu G joined the inauguration programme and narrated the strong skill echo system in Odisha.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange congratulated the students and welcomed the companies.
Dr Rajat Panigrahy, Principal of ITI Berhampur, said that more companies will be visiting the campus for recruitment.
The ITI is famous for its innovative way of imparting skill and secured 11th rank in all India grading attracted big brand industries for placement.
