Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today dedicated the specialized online land revenue payment system as part of the Five-T initiative of the government.
At a special event organized at the Lok Sewa Bhavan, the Chief Minister launched the digital platform that can provide people including farmers the freedom from a tumultuous process of paying land revenue.
Launching the new system, Naveen said that the system would provide a great relief to farmers who had to run government offices and were facing a cumbersome process to pay their land revenue. The new system is a very simple interface developed by National Informatics Center, Bhubaneswar, where farmers can make only payment in minutes and get the receipts.
A farmer of Bhubaneswar Tahasil, Manoj Kumar Das paid his dues live via video conferencing in the presence of the Chief Minister demonstrating the efficiency of the new system. Naveen also interacted with the users of the new system from various districts like Sundergarh, Ganjam, Nabarangpur and Puri. The users were visibly happy and thanked the CM for this initiative.
The CM thanked the revenue department for the first initiative under Five-T. Explaining the Five-T initiative of the Chief Minister, CM’s Secretary of Five T Initiative Shri V K Pandian informed that all government services will be available online with minimum human interface by August 2020, which is the basic tenet of CM’s Five-T programme. Others present on the occasion include the Chief Secretary Chief Advisor, Development Commissioner, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments.
