Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha today announced that the first summative assessment of Class 9 students will begin from November 22.
The exam will be held in two sittings: 9 am-10 am and 11 am to 12 noon, the BSE said.
As per the schedule, the examination of Second Language (English) will be conducted in first sitting on the first day while students will appear for Social Science exam in second sitting on the same day.
On November 23, the first and second sittings will have examination on First Language (Odia) and Mathematics, respectively. Students will appear for Third Language and Science papers on the next day.
The assessment will carry total 40 marks: 20 each for subjective and objective questions. The assessment will be conducted in their respective schools, whereas the answer scripts will be sent to other schools for evaluation, which will be held from November 23 to 30, the BSE said.
The BSE also stated that summative assessment for Class 10 students will be held between November last week and December first week. The schedule will be announced soon.
