Bhawanipatna: Setting a new benchmark in quality service delivery, five anganwadi centres including three Nand Ghars in Odisha’s Kalahandi district have received ISO certification.
The centres got the ISO 9001:2015 certification for providing quality services for better nutrition, immunization, health check-up, pre-school education and sustainable skill livelihood for women.
Two anganwadi centres – Jodabandha AWC of Champadeipur GP and Lanjigarh Road 2 (AWC) of Lanjigarh Road GP in Lanjigarh block and three Nand Ghars situated in Basantapada, Kansari and Kendubardi in Lanjigarh block achieved the feat.
The certification was issued to the AWCs for a period of three year with effect from July 17 and will remain valid till July 16, 2023.
Expressing his satisfaction for the achievement, Kalahandi Collector Dr Parag Harshad Gavali said that the process of transformation has begun in the district and they are aiming to achieve 100% ISO certification.
He has credited W&CD, Block, Vedanta, Nandghar team and KPMG for the feat.
