Five Mobile Clinics to Provide Basic Health Services to People in Ganjam

Berhampur: In a bid to provide basic health services at the doorstep during COVID-19 pandemic, the Ganjam district administration has inaugurated five number of mobile clinic vans today.

It was inaugurated by Collector, Ganjam at Collectorate office today.

While the mobile van is fitted with modern facilities, one doctor and one laboratory technician will be there in the van to provide basic health services.

Two mobile clinics will provide services in Berhampur Municipality Corporation area and others will be pressed into service in three subdivisions including Berhampur, Chhatrapur and Bhanjanagar, sources said.

Speaking exclusively to thenewsroom.co.in, Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange said, “During pandemic many people from remote area are unable to come to hospital and avail basic health services, with this mobile clinic we will go to the people to provide basic health services. It’s a pilot project and we will expand it in phase manner to all blocks, he added.
