Bhubaneswar: The common man must feel empowered. The common man must feel that he is the real master. He must feel he is living in a truly democratic system. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said this today at a function for the inclusion of five more departments in the Mo Sarkar initiative at Loka Seva Bhavan.
The Departments included today are —Forest & Environment, Information & Public Relations, Tourism, Sports & Youth Services and Skill Development & Technical Education.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister, “I am delighted that as many as five government departments such as Forest & Environment, Information & Public Relations, Tourism, Sports & Youth Services, Skill Development & Technical Education are entering into the ambit of Mo Sarkar today. I congratulate all these departments for their keenness to shift gears for this transformative initiative”.
As many as 12 Departments have already embraced Mo Sakar.
Expressing happiness over it, the CM said, “I myself have made several phone calls and received good feedback. We have taken tough action, wherever there has been lapses and appreciated wherever the feedback has been good”.
The success of Mo Sarkar solely depends on the effectiveness of the feedback mechanism, Naveen said.
The CM also hoped that all the departments to keep their feedback mechanism in good shape.
He said, “Again coming to the philosophy of Mo Sarkar, I wish the training and orientation programme to be properly educative. When you are chasing an attitudinal issue, it’s not easy.
“The IEC- Information, Education & Communication must be powerful enough to develop positive impact on the outlook. It’s my earnest desire to see the transformative initiatives empower the people of my state. The common-man must feel that he is the real master. He must feel he is living in a truly democratic system”, he added.
