Bhubaneswar: The war against Corona in Ganjam district got more power with the Government of Odisha deploying 130 more doctors and 37 OAS, ORS officers. According to notifications issued by the State Health and Family Welfare Department, 30 Medical Officers have been deployed to the City Hospital (District Headquarters Hospital, Ganjam).
The Government has also appointed a whooping 100 AMO (Ayurvedic Medical Officers) and HMOs (Homoeopathic Medical Officers. All of these officers will be deployed in various places of the districts by the CDMO and PHOs. An advance Life Support Ambulance with a driver will also be sent to Ganjam which will further accelerate the fight against the disease.
Along with these appointments, the state government has also deployed 32 ORS Group – B officers and five OAS Officers in the District to fight the Corona Pandemic. They will report to the district administration.
On Tuesday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik reviewed the Coronavirus Pandemic in the state and stressed on the safety and security of the COVID-19 patients and facilities at the COVID care centres. He urged the officials to scale up monitoring in the five focused districts of Ganjam, Cuttack, Jajpur, Sundargarh and Khordha, which have registered maximum number of positive cases.
The CM also advised the district observers to remain in touch with the frontline COVID warriors in their assigned districts. It may be noted here that Chief Minister personally talks to COVID warriors of different districts daily. During the Review meeting, the Chief Minister asked the officials to scale up testing facilities and deployment of more number of ambulances.
The Chief Minister also urged to increase manpower, more number of ventilators, ambulances and bed facilities in Ganjam district, which has registered maximum number of COVID positive cases in the State.
