Angul: At least four persons were injured when fire breakout in NALCO’s Smelter Casthouse-B unit at Anugul Tuesday. The four injured workers are identified as Mithun Nath, Rinkina Sahoo, Bisweswar Samal and Rajanikant Parida. Two of the injured, Bisweswar Samal and Rajanikant Parida are student apprentices.
According to reports, a flashover in high-voltage panel board of Smelter Casthouse-B led to the fire breaking out in the plant at about 10 am in the morning. The injured were immediately taken to the NALCO hospital and later taken to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. Their condition is stated to be stable.
